Pasadena Housewife is a stay-at-home mom, part-time piano instructor, Photoshop addict and a student of acrylic painting. After her baby was born, she started blogging as the Pasadena Housewife (www.pasadenahousewife.blogspot.com) and also exploring arts and crafts to entertain herself and her then toddler. All activities had to be safe with no dangerous tools, just blunt scissors, non-toxic glues, and sticky tape. Now that her baby is past the preschool stage, she can venture out with a bit more daring tools like exacto knives and hole punchers.
Combining her love of puzzles and many things mathematical, her interests then turned to geodesics. Pasadena Housewife likes to spend her day-dreaming moments dreaming up new geodesic spheres to make. With the enormous amount of recyclables piling up in her kitchen and trying to be frugal when she can, Pasadena Housewife decided to use these free materials to experiment with her geodesic creations. Now her interests also include include cardboard furniture, origami and dollhouse miniatures.
Pasadena Housewife is a regular student at the Pasadena Atelier (www.thepasadenaatelier.com) and is indebted to the two instructors, John and Daniella Martin, who have been instrumental and supportive in the production of this exhibit.
